A Bit About Myself!
I was born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina on September 3rd, 1988 under the name Elizabeth Davis. I have since taken up the nickname of "Lizzy", however I'm still living in my wonderful birthplace. I first took an interest in graphic design when I was in the 7th grade; I don't remember what exactly caught my attention, I just remember immediately going out and spending $100 on the newest Paintshop Pro. Since then, experimenting in digital media programs has remained one of my favorite past times.
I am recent graduate from the School of Communication Arts, with my Associates Degree in Digital Media awarded this past December (2007). I graduated valedictorian of my class, and also received an award for creative excellence. I am a member of the National Technical Honor Society and have done a myriad of volunteer side projects in school ranging from designing ads to developing entire websites. Although these are good work experiences, I am looking for a more long-term position. I am experienced in the majority of the Adobe Creative Suite, all the way back from version 6. I have spent a lot of time doing photomanipulations and creating spacescapes from scratch. Aside from the Adobe Software, I am familiar with the Macromedia programs, although they are now also owned by Adobe. I have designed completely flash websites, and I have a working knowledge of actionscript (although I do not consider it my strength). I can use Microsoft Office, and I am self-taught in (X)HTML, XML, CSS, and very little visual basic.
